Fragments of My Childhood - WIP

This watercolor based on a photo-reference from the Internet.
I replaced the girl on the original photo with myself, in the age of 13.
I've chosen this photo, because reminded me strongly of my childhood's habit: always looking out of the window, day-dreaming.
This album shows the long progress.
Watercolor on Arches, 300 g/m2, hot pressed, 21 x 28", or 53 x 71 cm.
"I Remember" - the final result. I'm so moved to meet my parents, again!
The first step: a light pencil sketch, using the old, black and white photo-reference from my family album...
...another close-up, after the corrections, from the final result.

Here is the finished painting, matted and nicely framed.

There Was a Party - WIP

This album displayes a scene in my house in Hungary...nice to remember...
16 x 22", or 40 x 56 cm, Arches, hot pressed, 140 lb
This is the final version of a large-size watercolor, that took me more time to finish.
The first step: planning the composition (creating a heart form) with printed, and cut-out roses, those were collected from the net.
A garland of roses; a small painting itself.
